Promise to Walk and Talk with You

And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures? Luke 12:32

Will these be your words on your day of judgment?

I pray it is not. That you will hear him while you still have breath, for the Lord will make it possible and known through his word, the prophets, and acts of love, grace and mercy, of his desire to commune with you--if you let him.

He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches. Rev 3:22

Promise in Him

And through him everyone who believes is freed from all things, from winch you could not be freed through the law of Moses. Acts 13:39 NASB

In Christ alone my hope is found.
He is the light, my strength my song.
My cornerstone.
My comforter.
My all and all!

No power of hell,
No, scheme of man can ever pluck me from his hand!

Lyrics from Christ Alone, performed by Avalon.

Promise in the Law

Be under obligation to no one—the only obligation you have is to love one another. Whoever does this has obeyed the Law. Romans 13:8 GNT

Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. Romans 13:8 KJV

The word of God is telling us we have an inherited responsibility to love one another.  Our joint survival depends on it. This answers question asked by Cain, "Am I my brother's keeper?"

The Ultimate Promised Fulfilled

[ The Resurrection of Christ ] And now I want to remind you, my friends, of the Good News which I preached to you, which you received, and on which your faith stands firm. I passed on to you what I received, which is of the greatest importance: that Christ died for our sins, as written in the Scriptures; that he was buried and that he was raised to life three days later, as written in the Scriptures; 1 Corinthians 15:1,3-4 GNT

The Ultimate Promised Fulfilled.

Promise of a Free Gift

...everyone has sinned and is far away from God's saving presence. But by the free gift of God's grace all are put right with him through Christ Jesus, who sets them free.Romans 3:23-24

The tree of life, a symbol of the gift to come in flesh, God has always offered a "life-line."

In the flesh, Christ blood on the cross closed the gap between man and God forever. All we have to do now to be reconciled unto the Father is to accept Christ whose blood has put it right with God. God promises eternal life for faith in the works of his son. Without faith, you cannot come onto the Father and you are eternally condemned.

This was a free gift. It is a gift because it was unexpected. It is not deserved. Because of the sacrifice that was made.
